Turning Waste into Awareness: A Creative Commitment to Our Ocean

At Ana Mandara Cam Ranh, sustainability is not only about meeting standards — it is about turning responsible practices into meaningful action.

As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, our team created a unique artwork entirely from recycled and discarded materials, transforming plastic waste collected from the local environment into a powerful visual story about our relationship with the sea.

The artwork portrays local fishermen navigating the waters of Cam Ranh, alongside a sea turtle surrounded by plastic waste, fishing ropes, bottles, cans and other discarded materials. By bringing these everyday objects into an artistic context, the piece highlights an issue that directly affects coastal communities and marine ecosystems: plastic pollution.

The artwork was created by the Ana Mandara Cam Ranh team to participate in the 2025 Creative Competition for Recycled Products from Plastic Waste, organized by Khanh Hoa Province, and was awarded Second Prize overall.

More than a competition entry, the artwork represents our belief that sustainability can be communicated through creativity, education and community engagement. It encourages our colleagues, guests and local community to look at waste differently — not simply as something to be discarded, but as a reminder of the environmental impact of our everyday choices.

This initiative forms part of Ana Mandara Cam Ranh’s broader sustainability journey. As a Green Globe-certified resort, we continue to strengthen our environmental management practices and integrate sustainability into our daily operations. Alongside waste reduction and recycling initiatives, the resort is also actively involved in mangrove restoration and planting, contributing to the protection of coastal ecosystems and the resilience of our local environment.

For us, sustainability is ultimately about leaving a lighter footprint while creating a more meaningful connection between our guests, our people and the destination we call home.
